Addendum

It is with thoughtfulness and consideration that We write this. On the subject of entering our Crown list, questions have arisen regarding people who currently hold obligations that may be in conflict, or impacted in some way, by serving a term as Middle Kingdom royals for a period of a year. Of course, by kingdom law, great officers are not allowed to fight or be fought for in a Crown tournament, as their positions and obligations to the kingdom are obvious and necessary. Though there is no other exclusion, by law, we must address that there are other positions that should be considered in regards to their duties to the populace. Those that hold positions that serve the entirety of the Midrealm, but are not great officers, or those that hold a landed baronial title should consider fully their current obligation and what impact that could make on their local populace or the kingdom as a whole should they become the Heir.

We will not bar any person from our crown list for the sole reason of holding such a position, so long as a suitable successor, or Vicar (if appropriate), is named and that person is acceptable to both the kingdom seneschal and to us, as Heirs. If you are considering fighting or being a consort in our fall Crown Tournament and currently hold a kingdom office or are a landed Baron/Baroness, submit your intention to the TRH email and Kingdom seneschal. You should include your reasons for fighting along with the name of your successor and their contact information so your intentions and their acceptance can be verified.
