From Their Highnesses – 19 November 2021

Beloved MidRealm,

As We continue to settle into Our new roles, We want to let you know what an honor it is to serve the people of the Dragon. We want to humbly thank you for all of the warm wishes and love we have experienced over the last few weeks. The heart of the Dragon is indeed still strong despite all the world has weathered in the last two years. As the world reopens, We want to reflect back on what the Kingdom has lost… family, friends, and the sense of normalcy. At the same time, We realize that the world has changed, adapted, and grown in its understanding of each other. We know now, more than ever, the importance of creating a place of belonging for all members of the Society. As Heirs to the Dragon Throne, we hope to take these learnings and build a stronger Kingdom, one built on kindness, love, and compassion for all.

We recognize that We have erred in the past and that We could have made better choices that better represent the Dream to all the people of the kingdom. We want to do better and set an example with Our actions as well as our words. The fact is that everyone makes mistakes, but We want to do better and empower everyone to do better as well. Over the course of the last 10 years, We have grown to understand some (but not all) of the differences in the world. We have expanded Our circles of understanding and knowledge as well as learned more about Ourselves. HerRH has spent the last 10 years studying and learning about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her passion has been, and continues to be a driver in this space. In the same time, HisRH was diagnosed with Autism and We have embraced the wonders that come with a neurodiverse family. We have learned the value in creating an environment where every person feels valued for who they are. Therefore, We strongly support the work of the DEI office, both at the Corporate Level and in this Kingdom, and We will be working with both offices closely in the coming months.

The diverse thoughts, visions, personas, and abilities of the Midrealm are also what brings it beauty, joy, and at its core is what defines The Dream. We hope to enhance those beautiful and wonderful diversities for the growth and strength of the Dragon. We are already developing a plan for Our reign where We wish to address Neurodiversity, how the Kingdom’s populace is aging and how that ties into both visible and invisible disabilities, recruiting from marginalized communities, rejecting bigotry, and supporting people’s gender identities and orientations.

This mission starts with making ourselves available to speak with all who wish it. Please, if you wish to have time with Us, know that We are here to serve. Please help Us continue growing, learning, and help Us build the Kingdom in kindness, peace, and love… to build One Midrealm.

As We walk together on this journey of shared and separate experiences, We hope that everyone will remember to grant grace and spread kindness.

In Service with Love,

Arch & Runa
